Hunger Games Series

Have you read these books by Suzanne Collins? I am on book 2, Catching Fire. I finished the first one yesterday. Wow, I cannot put them down! Even after James goes to bed, I stay up reading. It's all I can do to stop and eat a meal. This is bad. Of course, in a way it is good that the final book in the trilogy doesn't come out until August. Eeeeeek!
Okay, so what are these books about, you may ask? Well, it's kind of like the show Survivor. Only with teenagers. And it's to the death. Yeah, not something I would expect myself to get so into, but I did.

We Got a Scanner!!!

I know, it is not something many people in first-world countries live without in their day-to-days. Oh, well. We are not your normal Americans. For the first four years of our relationship we didn't even have a mattress, if that tells you anything.
So, anyway, we got a scanner/printer/copier contraption and I started playing with it today. Now I will be able to show you some of the lovely Real Film pictures we have in dust-covered boxes.
This is my first scanner adventure:
I think it looks pretty neat.
See you later. I'm off to work!

Introducing................

I am so excited to finally let you meet our new little pals! These are called Hugzies:

The pink Hugzy belongs to Beatrice and oh- she loves her new friend! In fact, her reaction upon meeting Hugzy is where I got the name. She just cuddles her like there's no tomorrow! I made the rabbit today. He has rice in his hands, feet and bottom as will all subsequent Hugzies.

I can't wait to add some to the Etsy shop! I'll let you know when I do.

MUST HAVE

Last night I left work early so I could try on a dress I saw the other day in the Ann Taylor window display. It fit so perfectly! Oooooooh, I love, love, love this dress. It is slightly longer in real life, just above the knee. Isn't it great?

2046

James and I watched this movie:

Wow. It's a real treat for the eyes. Definitely a grown-up movie.
Here are some nice shots...

Well, if you watch it, let me know what you think...

Um, hello... Where have you been?

Well, I've had a lot of things keeping me busy and keeping me away from here. Lots. Honest. For one thing, it's that lovely time of year again- Spring Cleaning. I had no choice but to submit to the frenzy after our long and miserable illness. This entire little tree house had to be picked up and shaken over the balcony. I scrubbed out the 'fridge and behind the toilet.
Did you know we lived in a different building in this same apartment complex until just before the baby was born? We lived in a one bedroom in the C building. This is a two bedroom in the E building. Boy, am I glad we moved. The C building burnt down last week. The whole building didn't actually burn, but it's damaged enough to require full destruction and removal. The only person hurt was a fireman. He was rescuing a woman from a top-floor apartment and she sucker-punched him so she could get her cats. Crazy cat lady. But he's okay.

Beatrice will be one in less than a month. She isn't walking. But she says "Book!"
