They sing. And when they sing, their mouths move. It's kind of creepy, but really cute, too. They are out of stock right now, but I'll be looking! I think they'd be really cute poking out the top of some stockings come Christmas! Red for James, pink for Bea, yellow for me, blue for Boy. Oh, because they are tuned together so they sing in harmony.

Drinking Milk from a Plastic Cup

It always makes me feel like a kid. Like when I was carefree and young and didn't have car problems. It's been a year for car problems, all culminating yesterday.

Today, James and I are going to a dealership for the first time ever. No more buying from random craigslist people or Iwanna listings. This is the real deal. It's almost feeling like a rite of passage.

Sketchbook Series: September Project

So James and I are a little behind on our September sketchbooks, but here are some samples of what I've done. I'm not showing you everything because I don't like everything I draw!

You can click to see them larger. I need to work a lot more on drawing! Use it or lose it, ya know? As you can see, I'm still into geisha these days.

It's hard to find time to draw what with class and homework and Bea and getting ready for the Boy and all, but there's something very relaxing about getting into the zone of drawing.

Some Inspiration Maybe?

September has been a tough month so far. It's the pregnancy is all... As soon as I get up and start anything I am totally worn out! So not much is getting done. Poor Beatrice is a little trooper, though!

To get back into the swing of blogging after not posting for a few days, I thought I'd give myself (and you!) a little dose of inspiration.

Why do I like foxes so much these days? Probably because of their naturally Fall-ish coloring. And so- here are some nice foxes!

Little Friends and Things

So after making Koko for Bea, I decided to make a little friend for the boy, too. His is a rattle and it matches their room pretty well:

James named him Jasper and said, "You could have been my son." -because Jasper was one of our top names. 

I also made him a mushroom crinkly toy:

Then I made more mushrooms just for the fun of it.

I love crinkly baby toys! I'm not sure what I'll do with these, though. Etsy? Give to a friend with a baby girl? Hmmm.

New Items!

I added some sweet little bird books to my etsy shop today.....

One Month Left

I haven't posted very much about this pregnancy. It's about to wrap up though- the delivery is scheduled for October 7 which is only 30 days away! And the shower is even sooner, September 18th! Excited!

Okay, so I packed his little suitcase and picked out his coming home outfit:

You like? He has three more outfits to wear during the hospital stay and some cozy blankets.

Nursery Tour

So you've seen the progression from Girl Baby Room to A Boy Is Coming. Now I've taken it a step further. We've brought in the Big Girl Bed. The whole room had to be rearranged and I can't thank Beatrice's daddy or my own enough for all the work they've put into this!

Mama had this lamp in her room as a child. For those of you who watch Mad Men, you might have noticed a similar one in Sally Draper's room.

So, obviously this is where the most work still needs to be done. He needs a quilt, boy sheets, a boy crib skirt, etc. Relax- I still have a little over four weeks!

Beatrice can't get through a day without these.
