Song of the Day No. 59

Mr. Rope

Mr. Rope was a terrible teacher
He came off like a bad preacher
With a military bearing
He was constantly declaring
His superiority

He’d a mustache like a walrus
Which never failed to appall us
The government was berated
When he pontificated
With infinite authority

Mr. Rope is now a higher up
In this district’s worst school
A pedantic figurehead
So many wish him dead
His fans are a minority

FROM THE VAULT

Here are some pictures from right around the time we met. Pre-engagement, pre-marriage, pre-parenthood. Carefree and young!

I love you, James, all the much that I can!

Music Monday *new feature*

About two years ago the most eccentric musician I've ever met walked into my life. His name is Jake Xingu. His fantastic new album is available for free download here. I won't try to describe it's wide-ranging greatness here, but suffice it to say I Like Music, Baby Flowers, Magicool Beauty Fool, but DEAD TERRORISTS ARE STILL KILLING AMERICANS$$$$$ will twist your brain into a pretzel shape. Like those nice big soft, buttery, salty ones you get at the ballpark. Mmmm.

Song of the Day No. 58

Chillin’ in Orbit

When I’m in orbit
I can really relax
When I’m in orbit
I can really kick back
The reception’s so clear
From way up here
I’m chillin’ in orbit,
So back off, Jack

Dim the interior lamps
Down to 100 amps
And beam in satellite radio
Let’s hear some Massive Attack
And some Portishead tracks
In sparkling clean stereo

Slow down, what’s your hurry?
Here in space we’ve got no worries

Turn on the laserball match
Have a drink, down the hatch!
Kick your spaceboots right offa your feet
Just forget all your cares
The sun’s nuclear glare
Is out there along with it’s heat

What's Gotten Into My Husband?

James has suddenly become a nut about keeping our home clean, clean, clean! Is he nesting? I don't know, but I like it!
