So EXCITED!!!!!

I had my first TWO etsy sales last night! A very nice customer got TWO pairs of baby shoes and they will ship ASAP. It was a wonderful end to a wonderful day.
And I'm sending a friend along for the ride.....
Okay, I'm off to sing encouraging songs with people I love in a nursing home this morning. See you later!

Mmm, I love you hair!

Growing my hair out means putting up with some not-so-favorite stages. I like to collect pictures of pretty long hair to keep me going.
I want hair long enough to have waves cascading down my back. I want hair so long that I could play Eve in a stage production and not wear a shirt and still be modest. I want hair I can hide behind like the girl playing Jacob's Ladder. I want to do amazing and intricate braids at the nape of my neck. But most of all, I want hair longer than my sister's.

My Brother, Hudson

Hudson is 22, I think. He is pretty tall and has dirty blond hair. He is in school for bio-chemistry or some such thing, sings in the church choir, currently makes pizza for a living and enjoys deep conversations over a beer. He is looking forward to marriage, but he hasn't chosen a bride yet. Beatrice loves to cuddle with him. He hand sews and he is most at home in the woods. He drives a volvo. Oh, and he has a tattoo.

What's Up

I am knitting my first pair of socks. I started small- newborn size to be exact. I got a CD lecture series from the library about the Enlightenment and I can't wait to start listening to it. I got these boots. They are so cute.

James is programing songs on Jake's keyboard. He's working on another space album! He had his last exam of the semester yesterday. What a huge relief! It was nice to spend an evening together without textbooks and notecards coming between us...

Beatrice is walking! It's a little bit wobbly and she reaches her arms out in front like a zombie, but Oh, she is happy!

I'm having a hard time imagining an addition to our family. I'm excited and counting the days, of course, but it is still hard to imagine, you know? When I was pregnant with Beatrice we talked about The Baby 24/7. And now we still talk about Beatrice all the time. James will occasionally say, "Oh, I love the new baby!" and I'm like, "Oh, yeah, we get another one!" And only 23 weeks to go! It'll all become more real when we see if it's a boy or girl on June 7th.

P.S. Etsy shop updates were posted yesterday!!!

Three Things I Love Best About May

1. My birthday!

2. Strawberries.

3. Fresh flowers.
These things make May one of my favorite months!
