I wish I had all these books so I could scan individual images for you! But you get the idea...

Happy Birthday, James!
I love you so much! The years we have spent together have been the best of my life and make me so excited to face all the challenges we have ahead of us. We have each other, we have kids- we have so much to make us happy! And no one makes me smile the way you do!
I LOVE YOU ALL THE MUCH THAT I CAN!

Emma, my sister
Emma is the baby of the family. She is 11 years old. Sometimes I think it is strange how different her life is from mine. I had a bunch of people younger than me, following closely what I did and it was the eighties and the nineties. We lived in the country. Emma has a bunch of people older than her telling her how to do everything. She lives in a new century and in a small city. Like her, I loved to draw as a child, loved my dolls and always felt that I was expected to do way too many chores. She is just about to hit that strange place between girlhood and womanhood, but she's not quite there yet. I hope she enjoys these months ahead and I hope I can help her when she goes through the struggles of change. But I know she will transition as gracefully as she has danced through her life so far!
Beatrice calls her "Emboo."

Pictures of Our Date
Isobel babysat the other night so James and I could go out. We did it the cheap way, as you can see below.
Fast food:
...and the park.
Oh, we had so much fun! We rented a movie and James played Ethan Hawke playing Hamlet:
He makes me laugh, you know. My face hurt by the end of the night! We've had a lot of fun times lately. We stay up late (relatively, I mean, compared to my last pregnancy when I was in bed by 9 every night) and talk and watch movies and dream together. It will be so different having two kids! But once they go to bed at night, it will be like old times.
I made brother clothes!
I made a onesie with pants for the boy! It's my first adventure in the realm of knit fabric. I love the color combination and I think this is what I want for his quilt, rather than light blue and bright red.

Anthropologie Love: Dress Like an Artist
And finally my favorite dress that I've ever seen. (*hint, James*)
Except for the last dress which is dressier than everything else, this is how I would dress for everyday if I could afford it! These items are fun, colorful and so pretty. I love the femininity.
