Lust List :: On Safari to Stay

Well, Cooper, you might be interested to know that I still enjoy the occasional bout of RD3, Restless Daydream Disorder. More in these stressful, busy days than usual perhaps. I don't mind, not at all, except when it gets to where I can't remember where memory stops and imaginary begins. Did that really happen or did I only think it? One thing is for sure. The safari memories are really imagined because I don't even have a passport.

Athfest 2012!

I was SOOOO excited a month or so ago when I found out that Elf Power and Five Eight would not only be playing Athfest, but it would be free and they would be back to back! Athfest is a live music festival in downtown Athens, GA. That's like an hour and a half away from us.

My folks watched our kids. Cooper and Ali came with us. Coop is my brother and the two of them are just about to have a baby. I was so happy that they came with us- it was a last minute decision.

We had a great time. I love Elf Power! We stood in the very front. There were a few guys from of Montreal playing with them and they played almost only songs we knew. Five Eight kicked it as usual. So much energy.

After those shows, we slipped into a little sci-fi diner for burgers. They had vegan options for Coop and Ali. I had a seared tuna burger. James had a normal burger. Yums all around.

Bunnies and Lemons

I drew these bunnies the other day, scanned them and colored them digitally. I am thinking about submitting the design to threadless. I don't know about you, but I would totally wear a t-shirt like this!

James and I had some friends over last night to play board games. It was lots of fun, despite the fact that we own so few games. We played Rummikub and Yahtzee. We all (8) sat around our tiny (4 person) kitchen table in the yellow light. We had wine and pretzels. And lemon squares that tasted like a night on the sea.

I love that my siblings are my friends. If we were just people, not related, I would still want to be friends with at least some of them.

It's almost hard to for me to listen to though because I can't help really missing people I love. I shouldn't have to miss them. They are family and they are still alive so they should be here and we should all be drinking wine and making each other laugh and wearing funny clothes and singing. Like we used to.
