5 Things

I stole this idea from RVA:

5 Things I am looking forward to:
The Indie Business Class, beginning the journey of buying a house, painting my dining room chairs, having long, long hair again, keeping a secret

5 Things I did yesterday:
filed 2009 tax return, went to lunch with some of my favorite people, started a crochet project, read lots and lots of stories to Beatrice, had a bit of red wine

5 Things I wish I could do:
Have some more red wine, get my nails done and my eyebrows waxed, spend more time with James, buy a car already, fly!

5 Places I'd like to travel:
India to see all the colors, Mexico, Greece, Africa (safari!), Paris for the art.

5 Cute things I've seen online lately:

Wardrobe Wednesday

There's a really cool store, Mash n Gravy. You should check it out if you have lots of money to buy clothes for tiny people. Or if you want to get some ideas and make clothes for tiny people. Here an outfit I put together:

Sunshine Girl!

Today Beatrice went down to Butler Springs. . .

At first, she hated the swings. . .

So she did other things. . .

Swingin' with Daddy in the bright sunlight. . .

Swingin' on your own, now that's alright!

Poetry Night #2- Valentine Edition

Emma frosting and sprinkling the red velvet cupcakes.

Plenty... plus lemonade and red wine!

Daddy acting silly before sharing some beautiful and touching poems by Christopher Morely.

Emily looked pensively at the wine as she geared up to give a reading of a  Donne poem.

James was in the mood for some Ogden Nash! Then Nikki and John sang a fun duet. "How could you believe me when I said I loved you when you know I've been a liar all my life?"

Hudson in the aftermath.

Song of the Day No. 63

Zombie ‘Pocalypse

Our immediate future doesn’t look too good
In this abandoned cabin out in the woods
There are too many windows to keep them out
Our very survival is now in doubt

Hey! They want to eat our brains
Zombie, zombie ‘pocalypse
Zombie, zombie ‘pocalypse

If we all band together we can fight them off
The only way to kill ‘em is to blow their heads off
But without any weapons we just hafta run
Down to the sporting goods to grab us some guns

Hey! They want to eat our brains
Zombie, zombie ‘pocalypse
Zombie, zombie ‘pocalypse

Song of the Day No. 62

Blues

The sky cracked open
And blood poured from the sky
The sky cracked open
And blood rained out the sky
The fires was all frozen
I could not believe my eyes

Evil winds was blowin’
The sun hid ‘hind the clouds
Evil winds a blowin’
Sun hid ‘hind the clouds
Don’t know where I was goin’
If it be up or down

Missing my sweet Jesus
Where the good Lord be?
Missing that sweet Jesus
Where the good Lord be?
Can’t believe that he would leave us
Let the devil run wild and free
