What She Wore 2: Kimono

Like many little girls, Beatrice loves playing dress up. This one is her Mulan look. She is wearing a red and gold kimono found at Goodwill, a green Old Navy tank top of mine underneath, a vintage scarf from Paraders Vintage, shoes from Baby's R Us and a piece of ribbon in her hair.

Pretty Chevron Motif

A while back, I embroidered a pretty necklace for myself using the currently-trending chevron motif in all my favorite colors. I wear it just about all the time. I wanted Beatrice to share my love, so today I made this headband for her. It is exactly like my pendant, only bigger and felt.

Listing

This week I have felt pretty hemmed in. I've been stranded because we have one car and James usually drives it to work. The kids and I have plenty to do, but sometimes all the activities run together in the endless-endless of mamahood.

But today was better. I made a list. I get so much more done and end the day with a sense of accomplishment when I go by a list. And I find that I do a lot more than I set out to do because a schedule makes time. Out of thin air.

My list had some revisions through the day, but it basically went like this:

I got a bit side-tracked in the afternoon when Lucy and Isobel came over. They saw that I only had 1 chapter left in the last HP book and offered to watch the kids while I got through. I needed that! AND Isobel made cookies!!

As always, there were random chunks of time throughout the day when I was on the floor being silly with my babies. :)
